ENTERTAINMENT 

The classic movie "Winning" with Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward and Robert 

Wagner was viewed with on the new 60" wide screen during the shindig.

1/24 VINTAGE STOCK CARS

A good assortment of the club meetings theme 1/24 stock cars were present.  

There were an number of AMT cars including a real AMT "Turnpike" Vintage Car.

Rich West with the authentic "Turnpike" car was by far the class of the field in the Concors

Judging.  Several of the other cars though made a much better showing in the track performance testing.

LAGUNA SECA TRACK - THE RACING VENUE

Final competition with the Vintage 1/24 Stock Cars and  good assortment of laps

with other vintage rides were run on the gorgeous 8 lane Laguna Seca track.

Even without today's magnetic downforce the cars did very well on this track.  

THE TROPHY WINNER

Mr. Richard West won the "Vintage Champion" trophy with a 

dominant showing in the Concors Judging.

OTHER NOTABLE SIGHTINGS

John Krupa had a gorgeous beautifully restored collection of Eldon 1/32 cars

in addition to Cox, Strombecker, Testors and K&B 1/24 cars and the complete lot is for sale ! 

The good professor brought some vintage rides into the racing including a 

scratch built Indy Offy with a repro MPC body, an Auto Hobbies fiberglass

bodied car with a scratch built chassis powered by a ball bearing Atlas 

motor and a vintage 1970 Champion "Formula IV" RTR car with 

a whimsical "Pinky" driver.
