LIGHTNING SPEEDWAY®

ENTERTAINMENT 

The classic movie "Grand Prix" with James Garner was viewed 

with a Blue Ray DVD on the new 60" wide screen during the shindig.  Must

of been a hit since it was restarted for the dramatic opening several times !

COX FORMULA ONE CARS

A good assortment of the club meetings theme vintage Cox F1 cars 

were present.  There were an number of Ferrari and BRM cars and Cox

chassis replica of a later vintage F1.

SEBRING TRACK - THE RACING VENUE

Final competition with the Cox F1 cars and  good assortment of laps

with other vintage rides were run on the gorgeous 3 lane Sebring track.

Even without today's magnetic downforce the cars did very well

on this track. 

THE TROPHY WINNER

Mr. Rick Skender won the "Vintage Champion" trophy with a great showing in

the Concors Judging and a dominant performance in the final race.

OTHER NOTABLE SIGHTINGS

Mr. Jimmy Attard brought along a stunning track full of 1/24 scale

stock cars blessed with his spectacular workmanship.  Jimmy was even

gracious enough to let the good Professor drive one of these creations.
